Media Converting Switch
2 port Ethernet switch having one 10/100BASE-TX UTP port and one 100BASE-FX (SC) port.
Designed for media conversion between copper and fibre this device is ideal for extending networks over distances of upto 2km, as offered by 100BASE-FX when configured for full duplex operation.
Configuration options are selected by a set of DIP switches.
A comprehensive array of LEDs provides immediate feedback of link operation and function.
When connected to an Ethernet hub or switch with built in 100BASE-FX port a single device can be used to link to either a 10Mbps or 100Mbps copper network via the auto-negotiating UTP port. When extending 10Mbps networks use a pair of these devices.
